About Cookies

I use cookies on my sites, clericaladvantage.com, tmariehilton.com (my site, or my sites) for a number of purposes. They help me to provide you with a good experience when you browse my website, and also allow me to improve my site. By continuing to browse the site, you are agreeing to the use of cookies.

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive.

I use the following cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log in to comment.
  • Analytical/performance cookies. They allow me to recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the website when they are using it. This helps to improve the way the website works, for example, by ensuring that users find what they are looking for easily.
  • Functionality cookies. These are used to recognize you when you return to the website. This enables any personalized content for you, greet you by name and/or remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).
  • Affiliate Marketing. There may be companies or products that I use and believe in so strongly that I become an affiliate. This means when someone clicks on a link to one of those companies/products I may receive a small compensation without increasing your costs whatsoever. These links set a cookie when clicked to determine that you have visited from my site in order to keep track of my affiliate sales.

You can find more information about the individual cookies we use and the purposes for which they are used on the website below.

About Privacy

In addition to the non-personally identifiable data collected by cookies, if you choose to contact me via my contact form or sign up to receive information packets, webinars or other informational items you will be sharing additional information such as name, email and perhaps information about your business and/or website.

In most cases, information is gathered and stored in the website database or via a third-party service.  All information gathered via contact form is stored in this website database and on my email server. Both can be deleted upon request.

Information and informational items are provided in exchange for adding your email address and possibly your name, business and or website information to one of my mailing lists. My mailing lists are stored and executed via Mailchimp for the sole purpose of communicating information as well as occasional marketing of services and products. Each mailing list will specifically detail what type of emails you may receive and possibly the frequency. You may unsubscribe from said email list(s) at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in every email. A copy of MailChimp’s Privacy Policy can be found here:  https:/mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/

My webinars are provided via WebinarNinja. Free webinars are provided in exchange for being placed on one of the aforementioned Mailchimp mailing lists. The privacy policy for WebinarNinja can be viewed at :  https://webinarninja.com/privacy

Any payments for any products or informational items are processed securely via PayPal. PayPal’s privacy policy is listed at : https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

Your information is never shared or sold to others for marketing purposes, and is only shared with third party services as necessary and explained above as well as being checked with an automated SPAM detection service.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

When visitors leave comments on the site collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Your Data Rights

If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
